Right to Information is rti full form. It is a new law in India that makes it mandatory for public offices and government bodies such as schools, hospitals, or police stations to release certain information unless it falls under the exemptions listed within section 8 of this legislation.
It allows the public to seek and obtain certain kinds of government documents, records, emails, etc at a fee that may not exceed Rs 10 per application. The Right To Information Act 2005 (the RTI act) gives all citizens access to any kind of record held by or maintained by almost every organ/body in Government including Central & State Governments as well as local bodies like Municipal Corporations / Municipalities / Panchayats which are funded either fully or substantially from funds provided directly by the Consolidated Fund Of India.
