RCB Full Form

Royal Challengers Bangalore is the rcb full form. The team is captained by Virat Kohli and coached by Daniel Vettori. Representing the city of Bangalore, it is one of the original eight teams of the league.

The team started out as a contender for the 2012 title but failed to make it to the top four. However they successfully qualified for the Champions League Twenty20 and emerged toppers in the tournament beating three times champions Chennai Super Kings in the final. During the 2014 auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought many star players for high prices at the auction, including Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers who is considered to be one of the best batsmen in T20 cricket along with being a part of RCB squad. The current coach of the team is Daniel Vettori while Gary Kirsten was their previous coach. They also have had famous former cricketers Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid as guest commentators on occasion.

The home ground for this team is M. Chinnaswamy Stadiumwhich has a capacity to accommodate 40,000 people.

They finished first in Group B and qualified for Qualifier 1. In Qualifier 1, they defeated the Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets and knocked out Kolkata Knight Riders from the tournament to qualify for the final. They lost the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs, thus finishing as runners-up of 2016 Indian Premier League.

He was also present at match venues during home games where he interacted with fans through a microphone which turned out to be a good source of entertainment for cricket lovers. Royal Challengers Bangalore has finished first in Group B and qualified for Qualifier 2.

They won Qualifier 2 by defeating defending champions Mumbai Indians by 41 runs and qualified for third place play-off match against Chennai Super Kings who lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad. The winner of this match will qualify for the second qualifier final. Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 8 wickets and qualified for 2016 Indian Premier League Final, which was their third appearance in an IPL finals.

This team is owned by Vijay Mallya. They are considered as one of the best teams in the tournament with successful players like Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, AB De Villers, Mitchell Starc etc. RCB has finished first in Group B and qualified for Qualifier 2.They easily defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets at Eden Gardens but failed to chase down 183 against Mumbai Indians at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Qualifier 1. They won their third consecutive match against Kings XI Punjab by 6 wickets at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium to qualify for the 2016 Indian Premier League Final.
