NSSO full form

The nsso full form is National Sample Survey Office. The National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) is a government of India organization under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. The National Sample Survey Organization (NSSO) is India’s main organization that conducts regular socioeconomic surveys. In repeated rounds, the NSSO conducts nationwide sample surveys on a variety of socioeconomic concerns, with each round covering topics of current interest during a specific survey period.

It is a government of India body that is under the supervision of the Ministry of Statistics. It was founded in 1950 and is India’s largest agency for conducting socioeconomic surveys. The Indian Statistical Service, which is appointed by the Union Public Service Commission, or the Subordinate Service, which is appointed by the Staff Selection Commission, are the two groups of persons who work for the NSSO. Survey Design and Research Division (SDRD), Field Operations Division (FOD), Data Processing Division (DPD), and Coordination and Publication Division are the four primary divisions of the National Sample Survey Organisation (CPD).

The SDRD is in charge of survey planning, formulation, and design, as well as sample design, concepts, and definitions. The FDO is in charge of performing socioeconomic and industrial statistics surveys, among other things. The DPD is in charge of data processing, tabulation, and dissemination, while the CPD is in charge of coordinating the work of all NSSO divisions.
