NSO full form – The National Statistics Office (NSO) headed by the Director-General is responsible for conducting large-scale sample surveys in various fields on an all-India basis. In addition to these surveys, the NSO collects data on rural and urban prices and is instrumental in the improvement of crop data through monitoring of field calculations and crop assessment surveys of state agencies.
