The crisil full form is Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited. CRISIL (previously Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited) is an Indian analytical firm that offers ratings, risk, research, and policy advice services. It is a subsidiary of S&P Global.
CRISIL was India’s first credit rating agency, established in 1988 by ICICI and UTI in collaboration with SBI, LIC, and United India Insurance Company. S&P, a credit rating organization based in the United States, purchased the majority of the company’s shares in April 2005.
